Cruel optimism is something that almost every sports fan can relate to, unless of course you’re a band wagon jumper.
I’d love to say that the blog is going to be completely unbiased, but at it’s core this a personal sports blog, and my heart lies in certain places. I’m a Leeds United fan, living in Toronto, Canada originally from Dublin, Ireland.
Knowing that I’m a Leeds fan, and also having watched Thierry Henry ever so gently caress the ball before crossing to Gallas the “cruel optimism” is likely a little clearer now. I’m also a TFC, Jays, Raptors fan, and to a much lesser extent a Dallas Stars fan.
